How I work

Human creativity and judgement are second to none. Nothing I have seen from a model comes close. But most of a working day is not creative. It is chasing, copying, formatting, checking and waiting. That is the part AI should own, and it is the part I remove.

No AI for AI's sake

If a spreadsheet or a checklist solves it, we use that. AI earns its place by removing hours, not by looking modern.

Every tool has to pay for itself

Know You More has never taken outside money. Every system I run there has to justify its cost that month. I bring the same discipline to yours.

I document, train and hand over. A consultant you cannot fire is a hostage situation, not a partnership.

Biggest case study

Know You More: four people, one coaching platform, 250+ coaches in 20+ countries

KYM is where I have proved the thesis at full scale. We founded it in 2016 and have run it on our own revenue ever since. A coaching business normally needs a back office of schedulers, administrators and analysts. Ours is four people and a set of systems I built and run.

  • Lead routing rebuilt. The website had fifteen enquiry forms, and only one of them reached the sales board. Around 85% of what did arrive was bot spam, and a real enterprise enquiry sat unseen for two days behind five hundred junk rows. Every form now lands in one queue, spam is archived automatically each morning, and paid programme applications reach a human the same day.
  • Finance that answers questions. An internal dashboard merges accounting data, the CRM pipeline and uploaded finance documents, then uses Claude to answer "how long is our runway" and "what should we chase this week" in plain English. Answers, not charts.
  • Operations without the admin. Coach onboarding, session scheduling, client reporting and inbox triage run without a person in the loop. People step in for judgement, not data entry.

About me

I am the co-founder and CTO of Know You More, a socially driven coaching provider and platform based in Edinburgh. We founded it in 2016. Today we support 250+ certified coaches in more than 20 countries, and we run a free leadership coaching programme for 18 to 25 year olds. TechRound ranked our app number one for helping students and graduates choose a career.

We built it without external funding. That forced a habit: automate anything that does not need a person. Today four of us run the whole operation, with AI doing the scheduling, reporting, onboarding and admin that used to eat our week.

Before that I designed and built a retail cryptocurrency trading bot on my own. It sold more than 10,000 licences. I learned more about product, support and reliability from that than from any job.

I trained in quantitative finance at Cass Business School, which is why I still reach for the numbers before the narrative. I am a certified Scrum Master and Product Owner, and I hold an ILM Level 7 in Executive Coaching and EMCC practitioner accreditation. I split my time between Edinburgh and London.
